|
No permission is needed as Rosie is a part of the filming group.
|
Will the levels of noise cause a problem?
If so, how will you overcome this?
|
Noise might be a problem but we will be filming in the evening so it shouldn’t be a big disadvantage. We can try and sound proof the garage. We will also try and film on a day when Rosie’s family will not be around.
| |
Is the level of lighting suitable?
|
The lighting in the garage flickers so this gives a big advantage when trying to create tension in our piece.
|
We will use natural lighting and the lights provided in Rosie’s house to film with.
|
If inside, are the Emergency exits clearly visible and available?
Is Emergency equipment provided?

Is there public transport easily available to you?

The knife shall be used to create tension
after seeing the dead body.
|
Rhianna will buy a big fake knife from a
party shop as a real knife has a lot of risks.
|
Rosie’s Garage

|
This will be used to hold the dead corpse.
|
We will either use an old chair of Rosie’s

|
Fake Guts

This will be used to make the dead character
seem gorier.
|
Rosie will provide the fake guts and blood
as she is talented when it comes to special effect.
|
Treatment
Treatment.
Rosie gets a text, this is shown with an over the shoulder
shot. Camera then pans or cuts to show the reaction to the text. Cuts to Rose
swiping everything off the desk which matches on to Holly opening the door,
(continuity) opening to the other side of the door. Tracks Holly walking
forward from in front. Rhianna comes into view she is dead and covered in blood
and guts, Holly doesn't see Rhianna’s gory face. We see the door still open as
a shadow appears in the doorway.
-Point of view shot from person in the door (Max)
- Back to Holly (Previous shot)
-Arc shot, following Holly as she turns.

City of God
How does the opening of ‘City of God’ set the tone, genre and themes of the film through the use of micro-elements?
In the opening scene
creates a tense and aggressive atmosphere through fast pace editing. This
creates the action genre. As the opening scene quickly switches between shots
of the chicken looking scared and people having fun, it builds up the tension
and puts the audience on edge the use of non-diegetic sounds of the knife being
sharpened creates suspense. The use of imagery and sound effects warns the
audience on what to expect. The speed at which the shots are edited together
can represent the characters way of life. It suggests that the characters
always have to be moving fast and thinking quickly. It also shows that their
way of life is very frantic. This way of life creates tension and aggression as
it shows two opposing forces in a battle. The way the two opposing forces are
shown as being very violent towards each other. At the end of this opening
scene the audience are left with a feeling that the characters are going to be
constantly in danger from the two forces.
